Investigative journalist Anna, scarred by her father’s disappearance 30 years ago, learns that his body has surfaced in Lake Lugano. As she discovers evidence that links him to the legendary theft of Caravaggio’s masterpiece in his homeland Sicily, she probes Lugano’s shady art world and discovers the story she grew up believing in was a lie. Chasing ever more disconcerting clues, Anna unravels her family’s links to the Mafia underworld. Her digging sparks violence in Lugano and threatens those she loves — until she faces a shocking truth. In order to survive Anna must take an impossible decision.
