Rosa, Blanca, and Carmen, three friends in their fifties, meet again after a long time for a rabbit hunt at Blanca’s country house near Madrid. Rosa brings her teenage niece, Diana, who doesn’t really know why she’s there. As the hot day goes on, the women’s problems come to light‒divorce, money issues, and drinking‒and old tensions start to grow. Their reunion slowly turns into a day full of conflict, leading to a tragic ending.
Inspired by legendary Spanish director Carlos Saura’s first international success, the seminal 1966 film LA CAZA (THE HUNT), which won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 16th Berlin Film Festival, and is also available from Global Pulse Entertainment.
